Motivation and why!

Where does your motivation come from? Mine comes from my kids, my desire to perform well everyday and the memories of not feeling well. I want my children to have the best possible health they can have and that does not happen by accident. I want them to know and understand how and why it is important to fuel their bodies with real food and move everyday. I want my girls to know that beauty comes from health and that healthy bodies always look great.

I don’t want my kids to go through the struggles that I see so many adults facing on a daily basis. I want them to feel empowered to help themselves by fueling their bodies with the raw materials they need to build strong and healthy bodies. And, I want them to know that movement and exercise are an enjoyable part of everyday.

Ask yourself many people, especially women, are on some kind of a diet? How many have jumped from one diet to another, face broken metabolisms, poor energy, thyroid dysfunction and are unhappy with how they look? I know a lot! And, you know what…it does NOT have to be that way.

What if we switched the focus from a diet to lose to a diet to gain. To gain health that is. Wouldn’t that be great? What if the focus was on building our kids, teaching them how to enjoy real, healthy, nutrient dense food and movement? You know who their role model could be? You!! And, you know what will happen by accident? Your health will improve at the same time! Isn’t that awesome! I think so!
