What a wild year this has been. There’s hardly a person around that has not been impacted by this pandemic in some way.
But moms, we’ve had it bad. Here are some mind-boggling stats I found:
In September 2020, the start of the school year, when almost half of school districts in the U.S. chose remote learning instead of in-person, women left the workforce four times faster than men. Largely because it was generally the moms who took on the child care responsibilities that were not there when our kids were in school.
Almost one in five (19.6%) of working-age American adults said the reason they were not working was because COVID-19 disrupted their childcare arrangements.
Beyond childcare, women have had significant more financial concerns than men throughout the course of the pandemic.
According to Vox Pop Lab’s COVID-19 monitor, over the course of the pandemic 52% of U.S. women have been somewhat, very or extremely concerned about their access to food and supplies and 54% have been concerned about their ability to pay bills.
Anyone else exhausted just from reading that list?
Now, this post is not meant to be doom and gloom. There’s enough of THAT going on!
No, instead, this is me saying: If you’re struggling, if you’re tired, if you’re uncertain…
I SEE you. I FEEL you. And I am HERE for you.
Hey household heroes, how you doin’?
Parents but (sorry dads) especially moms are such unsung heroes, and these last 12, 13 months have made that more clear than ever before.
Changing your entire routine to support your kids, maybe while still juggling work, let alone all the other household needs. No longer getting that break when the little ones are at daycare, camp or school.
We’re just on. All. The. Time.
As moms, we take on these responsibilities because this is our job. Our family’s health, safety and wellbeing is our job. That has made this entire pandemic a gruelling test.
It also means that we have been under a series of repeated stressors for over a year.
Many of us are feeling it in both our minds and bodies. These stressors are like nothing any of us have experienced before. Our bodies think we have been in a year-long state of attack (which, I guess, they’re not wrong) and they have been trying to protect us.
Our bodies need help. We need help.
That’s why I created a simple, FREE, solution just for you.
Meet The Busy Mom’s Post Pandemic Support Plan
Here, I have put together a simple way to help you, help you.
It’s designed for moms like you who want to recover their energy, stop diet hopping, clear their gut and balance their hormones.
In this Support Plan, you will find three simple steps to recover you. You can fold them into your life all at once (which is what I recommend!) or one at a time, depending where you are feeling the stress and symptoms the most.
There are specific, actionable directions so you don’t even have to think about what you’re doing (I did the thinking for you!).
This is not a fad diet or a temporary program. These are simple lifestyle changes that you incorporate into your ongoing routine which, in turn, help prevent rebound weight gain and hormone stress.
Did I mention that it’s free?
I got you, mama. Know that you’re not alone in this.
I’m here and I’m cheering you on every step of the way.
XX,
Amy
